This applies to every Operator-managed workload. CNPG. CertManager. Strimzi. Rook. Same pattern everywhere: the Operator is the source of truth for its managed resources. Work with that, not against it.

Pour ceux qui sont pointilleux sur les détails, oui j'ai un wildcard certificat géré par CertManager. Hyper simple (une fois mis en place)

@Linktree_ If you want someone who can setup automatic SSL/TLS cert renewal using Lets encrypt Certmanager so that this doesn't happen again, Hit me up!

SSL management in k8s is a must-know workflow for DevOps engineers. In every project, You will have to deal with TLS certificates. It could be public or internal certificates. One of the best ways to manage SSL in Kubernetes is by using cert-manager. It automates the entire process of managing TLS certificates. It supports many certificate providers, also called issuers. For example: - Let’s Encrypt – a free, public certificate authority - HashiCorp Vault – can act as an internal certificate authority - Self-signed or internal PKI – cert-manager can create self-signed certs or work with a custom CA In enterprise setups, many organizations have their own certificate authority. cert-manager can easily integrate with these systems to issue trusted certificates. We know, not everyone gets to work on such workflows. However, you can get hands-on experience with this setup using Let’s Encrypt in your own Kubernetes cluster. We have a detailed guide covering all these concepts step by step. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: devopscube.com/nginx-ingress… Over to you! Do you have experience managing SSL using cert manage or any other tool? Share your queries or learnings in the comments. #devops #nginx #certmanager

cert-manager can do wildcard certs with the right setup. I liked certmanager, it's very nice, but these days I've just switched to using Cloudflare Origin CA certs since I have my DNS with them anyway. it's less setup than cert-manager

This. Loki for logs if you're so inclined. You can get hosted versions just fine. It's super cheap and if you have a k8s cluster or are willing to use one it's basically setup-costs and just continues, s3 storage, too. We ran it with externaldns and certmanager and lived happy.

Wow, 4 years later, how we have grown! @CertManager reached Graduated status in the CNCF this week at @KubeCon_ 😳 I’m so proud of what we’ve built and the team & community that has taken a life of its own. It’s a lot to take in! Thank you everyone 🙏 cncf.io/announcements/2024/1…
It’s incredible to see cert-manager become part of the @CloudNativeFdn When it was first started years ago, I didn’t know what to expect. Becoming a staple in k8s clusters & community project is more than I could ever ask for ❤️ 🥂 to everyone for making it what it is today! 🍾

4 years ago, @CloudNativeFdn accepted @CertManager, a certificate-management controller for K8s and @openshift as a sandbox project. In Sept, the project graduated.  @ha_joslyn is here with Matt Barker and Ashley Davis to learn about the journey and what's next. #KubeCon
