Uttarakhand Police arrested four Nihang Sikhs after a clash broke out near Karnaprayag market in Chamoli regions yesterday between local traders and Nihang pilgrims returning from the Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage. All four arrested persons are from Mohali in Punjab.
Their victim walk video shows that they received more than enough beating in custody. Every state police is following UP Police Model now.
Badrinath Yatra were temporarily halted in the Karnaprayag and Chamoli regions due to law and order disruption after a clash broke out between Sikh pilgrims returning from the Hemkund Sahib and local residents near Karnaprayag market in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
It is reported that a bike belonging to a group of 5-6 Nihang Sikhs collided with a parked car in the market, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical altercation and suddenly Nihangs started attacking people with swords. It is alleged that four people were injured in the attack after which local traders blocked the traffic on the Badrinath National Highway.
