Two leaders | Same obstacle | Entirely different outcome. Business world is changing as if a hurricane, a thunderstorm and an asteroid were having a party. Leadership plays an important role in how businesses manage this rollercoaster of changes, often triggered by external factors. → Leader ONE panics. Reacts with extreme emotions of anger and frustration. Rushes their decisions. → Leader TWO takes a pause. Speaks to the team, clients, and all possible stakeholders to gather a deeper understanding of the impact these changes will have on their business, as well as it's people. People here includes the team, contractors, and the client - each important in their own right. Months later, sometimes maybe within weeks → Leader ONE is still putting out fires, → While Leader TWO has applied a strategy that favors all, and makes the business more resilient for now and the future. The lesson is rather simple: ☑️ Listen, discuss, gather insights. ☑️ Respond with an Intentional Strategy. ☑️ It is your response (or reaction), and not the obstacle itself, that will almost always decide your success (or downfall!).
