With today's signing into law of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill No.2 of 2023 by H.E President Dr @WilliamsRuto at State House, Nairobi, 10th October is now officially Mazingira Day.
The Government decision to designate the 10th Oct as Mazingira Day by amending the Public Holidays Act is aimed at accelerating environmental protection and conservation including tree growing and ecosystems restoration in the face of worsening effects of climate change in the country.
