well first off id say you should not be unemployed for years after college myself and probably half my friends didnt know what they wanted to do and took jobs barbacking/waitering/bartending,landscaping,residential constructon. Whatever job you can get to make some money and stay busy while you figure life out. The worst thing you can possibly do for your mental health and your overall growth is to be sitting home all day at 23 years old. Secondly your partially right the world and work life is becoming more and more isolated with remote work and the way traditonal jobs operate as well as life does indeed change abit as you get older it bedomes very routine. However by not working your cutting half your interactions and potential connections in half. Get a job whatever it may be that isnt too serious or stressful that you wouldnt care if you got fired while you figure things out and your interactiond andf mental health will drastcially imoirve wiht the structure that comes with it.

Having grown up in the neighbourhood, I can assure you the bribes paid for such illegal and dangerous constructon is more than this "compensation".
