Another example that in beverage, the middle is getting squeezed ABV / Distributors / Copackers / Brands
Higher alcohol ready-to-drink beverages are gaining traction, despite opposing trends for no and low alcohol also running in tandem. Southern Glazer’s tells db why this is a trend to watch. thedrinksbusiness.com/2026/0…

How the Yapper can was born: Always had a deep down aspiration to go bigger @theNOBSdentist planted the idea seed over the summer while we worked on something else September-ish I was fully working on the rebrand behind the scenes and he convinces me to go for it as an additional sky Mr Investor also agrees as the capital requirement for an initial run isn’t too crazy Begin working on formula and names Spend hours staring at the refrigerated sections of Whole Foods, pop up grocer, happy grocer, and liquor stores See which cans the girlies grab Come up with design direction that uses everything we learned while also not being too effeminate for guys to drink Work with AI to get 50-75% of the way there Work with designers to finish the design While this is happening I’m visiting copackers and trying flavor samples Realize based on samples this is a fucking home run Spend the next few months setting up logistics and having conversations about possible retail placements in addition to DTC Finally have cans in hand almost 7 months after starting the process

I looked into the growing patterns of major fruit packers and can tell which strawberry/blueberry/blackberry/raspberry will taste the best across copackers based on if it's organic/not, its SKU, what month it is and where the country of origin of the fruit is.

Just visited a Chinese CREATINE factory Brand new machineries, top notch quality really impressive Have a big control room NASA style They sell to the copackers of big brands we see everyday in US and EU This means we can undercut the last layer to squeeze more margins

Just because says seed oil doesnt necessarily mean bad imo. Like apricot seed oil. But the oils that are highly refined and deodorized and bleached like canola and usually sunflower are unstable and inflammatory imo

99.99% of products are made by copackers. It’s stupid to make your own product these days. What’s your point?

Bro you are a one man beekeeping operation with 30 hives who bottles everything by hand in small batches and ships direct to customer himself using a shopify website. Why is your honey more expensive than the multi global thousand barrel honey importer copackers who have never even seen a beehive and sell to every major store across the country??? 🤬
