🔬New Discovery in Senescent Cells Could Help Fight Aging
Understanding how aging cells control inflammation is important for learning more about how our bodies respond to stress and could lead to new treatments for aging.
Prof. Chanhee Kang and his team at the School of Biological Sciences, SNU, have uncovered a new way aging cells control the proteins they produce. They discovered that a process called autophagy helps change the way RNA is spliced by breaking down certain proteins in these cells.
