You’re dragging it how bad the defense was. The gap between their drating and the Spurs is nearly the same as the gap between the Spurs and OKC. Their offense would certainly be better too.

Amen Thompson, #Rockets tied for 5th Defensively (DRating per NBA dot com), did not make All Defensive 2nd Team despite having the cover for Sengun and Sheppard all season. And Amen 2nd in NBA in minutes per game. Robbed.

They are uniquely devoid of talent as supported by data:
Nets are the youngest team and play at bottom 5 pace, they score the least in transition and have a bottom 5 defense, efficiency, OPG and dRating.
They do not have 1 allstar potential player. Entire team is role players.

Oh my god, we do this every year..
He's good at drating non premium positions (OT being the 1 premium he CAN draft well), and nothing else.
It builds a middling roster that never wins a single meaningful thing. Rinse. Repeat.
So fucking tired of his tenure.

KD still had a top 5 lowest dfg% itl this year guarding 1-5 as the secondary defender on a 50 win team that was top 10 in drating. So yeah idk how much he’s fallen off defensively exactly. Also played 80/86 possible games so far
