My wife wears them. If I couldn't get the Handanhy 9330 I'd probably switch to these. They are the only mask that fits all 4 of us. The KN standard (e.g. KN95 or KN100) is a Chinese standard for respirators. The earloop version is the best earloop mask I've tried.

Yes, the same mask will be given different names depending on the local standard. I regularly wear FFP3, which is equivalent to either N95 or N99, depending on how you see it. Earloop KN95 are equivalent to earloop FFP2. Headstrap FFP2 would probably be N95.

It may just be a personal preference esp when dealing with earloop respies, but I personally do think it matters that folks know that there may be a slight difference. That being said, I think the FFP2 is just fine and it fits my face and it’s nice for summer. But not for an ER.

I fully agree. I've also met a lot of people who prefer ReadiMask simply because it's so comfortable. My wife loves them because they don't interfere with her hair, but provide a much better fit and seal than earloop respirators. It would be a struggle to find something to fill that gap if ReadiMask disappears. I was surprised, but it was mentioned that almost all of their customers are consumers, and I believe that was probably the driving force behind dropping the NIOSH approval which is very expensive to maintain. It seems they've realised there is a lot more interest in the mask from consumers than the markets they initially targeted.

I cannot wear headband respies. Every one I've tried has given me the worse headaches of my life due to my sensitive scalp. Earloop N95s, KN95s, and KF94s still offer excellent protection. You look great 🫶

I’m usually maskless if outside given I live in a low density area — I carry an earloop (Breatheteq KN95) because it’s easier than a headstrap to get on quickly while wearing a sunhat, if someone approaches.

Nah- I relax and sometimes use earloop respirators when outside in uncrowded situations and also when doing yard work. It shows your flexibility and adaptability- applying different tools in different situations. By doing this we learn what works in different situations.

A respirator that fits is a respirator that fits. Plenty of people get a great fit with earloop KN95s and let’s face it they have all the colours and are easier to get on your face quickly. A respirator that works is one that’s on your face so you’ve absolutely made it right.
