Makes me think of Ralph Osterhoudt, 95 year old Battle of the Bulge vet that our #ehsdc22 students spoke with in DC last May. Great memory.

Out of the dark woods & swirling snow, the Germans launched a surprise offensive #OTD in 1944, creating a large “bulge” in the American lines of the Western front. The Battle of the Bulge was the largest & bloodiest single battle fought by the U.S. in World War II.
