“It’s only through working together that we will make change. Our mission is to drive a new era in health equity,” said @HelenBurstin today at @theNASEM as she announced the launch of "Encoding Equity in Clinical Research & Practice: Rethinking Race in Clinical Algorithms," an alliance to be led by @CMSSmed with support from Doris Duke Foundation. This new effort will coordinate work in the field across sectors, share best practices for revisiting existing algorithms, educate and disseminate information on the urgent need to reconsider the role of race in clinical algorithms. #EncodingEquity #EquityinEquations
