📍هل سمعت عن مصطلح WSS؟ يُعد الـ Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) عنصرًا مهما في نظم الألياف البصرية الحديثة، ويستخدم في شبكات ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer) لتوجيه الإشارات بين مسارات مختلفة ضمن الشبكة. يعمل الـ WSS عن طريق التحكم في طول الموجة للضوء المرسل وتوجيهه إلى المسار المطلوب. 📍تعتمد تقنية الـ WSS على استخدام مرشحات بصرية قابلة للتحكم لفصل الإشارات الضوئية المختلفة وتوجيهها إلى الألياف البصرية المناسبة. يتم تحقيق ذلك من خلال تحكم مرن في طول الموجة للضوء المرسل وتوجيهه لمسار معين. 📍هناك نوعان رئيسيان من أجهزة WSS: 1. الـ Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) 2. الـ LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). 1. Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS): يعتمد نوع LCoS من الـ WSS على استخدام شريحة سيليكون تحتوي على مجموعة من أقطاب البكسل العاكسة و طبقة بلورية سائلة. يتم تطبيق جهد كهربائي على الشريحة للتحكم في توجيه الضوء، عند تغيير الجهد الكهربائي، يتغير انحناء البلورة السائلة، مما يؤدي إلى تغيير زاوية انكسار الضوء وتوجيهه بشكل محدد. يعتبر الـ WSS المعتمد على تقنية LCoS متفوقًا في التعامل مع العديد من المنافذ بمرونة. 2.
