Gleichzeitig sehe ich das was fehlt
Frauen sind hier noch immer nicht sichtbar. Die erste Rektorin fehlt an meiner Alma mater

From a personal perspective, today was wild! Wearing the same dress I wore to my undergraduate graduation (thrifty, I know), it felt so weird to be part of the academic procession and sat on the stage. My life sometimes, still blows my mind 🤯 #firstgenacademic

Saying student loans shouldn't be forgiven bc you've already paid yours is the wrong perspective.
I've paid over 2/3 of 40K back, but I don't begrudge anyone who may now be able to graduate and start their life without that burden.

Yeah, not the definition I use. I think this is a minority, most who identify as #firstgenacademic are truly the first in their family to go to grad school and in most cases (inc mine) to attend a 4-yr college after high school.

Ten years ago, give or take a few weeks, I discovered that astronomy was a valid career choice, not just a hobby. Now, I have a PhD and a job doing astrophysics research 😊
