Backtesting is like trading a Demo account, similar to how Demo eliminates emotions, Backtesting eliminates the friction of time, patience, contemplating exits, the strategy just looks easy and profitable on paper The advantage: you can discover the data proven win rate of a strategy. Forwardtesting is like trading a Live account, similar to dealing with emotions on a live account, you encounter emotional and execution friction e.g ⌲ you have to apply patience as the strategy ⌲ handle back to back losses and the doubts that come with them ⌲ contemplate if you are gonna leave with half the loss/profit or skin in the game and wait for it to play out fully. this is more like testing yourself and with the strategy. If you only backtested a strategy you haven’t fully tested it until you forwardtest it tooðŸ¤ðŸ¾
Most traders don’t forward test because it takes time and patience. But backtesting alone won’t give you all the information you need to become profitable, even with a profitable edge. Learn to forward test too. That’s where you build confidence, gather real market experience, and discover things backtesting can never show you.

My edge comes from spending a maximum of 1 hour infront of the charts each day, i know my session, my asset, execution on m5/no lower than that. 1h/4h has to be aligned, 1 trade per day. Forwardtest when the urge to trade comes, and let go, i'm in no control of the outcome.

Alhamdulillah selesai backtest sambil forwardtest sampai semalam 5 Jun 2026. Wallahi this is good news buat keyakinan makin bertambah untuk sistem sedia ada sekarang. Tinggal nak execute serupa robot je tiap malam jam 9pm - 10.35pm. Ini summary hasil backtest 👇
Sempat backtest sampai April jadi 4 bulan data utk 2026. So far so good. Even result mggu ni bila trade dari jam 9pm - 10.35pm meyakinkan dgn 2 wins. Aku faham market selalu berubah tapi data ni sgt membantu utk bagi edge dlm system. InShaAllah we got this my warrior within 💪

Don't trade to RECOVER losses, rather trade to make PROFIT, that 1:2rr trade may not recover all ur losses at once, bt consistency at that rate keeps ur psych in check as u keep hit TP🫰 there is this feeling when u are consistently on a profit row that keeps boosting motivation. This is the weekend, u are backtesting, also get ready to forwardtest harder, get everything u need , u are Jst starting out?, look for prop acct, there are firm with as low as 3500 naira, use it to forwardtest, and build ur psychological foundation....

what most people don't realize about our process is how unsexy it is. no daily entries. no signal alerts. no flashy calls. just learn, case study, backtest, collect data, forwardtest, go live - on repeat until it clicks. it's not exciting. it just works. that's the whole point.

in this industry... most education stops at the strategy. we don't. learn the system. case study it. backtest it. collect the data. forwardtest. then go live. in that order... no shortcuts. that's why our members become independent. it's never been the concept. it's always been the structure behind it.

Wanna build confidence? Here’s my advice. - Make your system clear and structured. Write it down somewhere, so you can follow it judiciously. That’s the first step - Backtest/forwardtest your system to gather data on your systems performance and refine it if needed. - Execute your system consistently, whenever it shows up perfectly, regardless of how you’re feeling. Never settle for low quality setups. Avoid them like a plague. - Always manage risk and stick to a fixed RR system, preferably 3R (works for me).

The simpler the system is, the easier it will be to execute. The more proven the system is, the more you will trust it. Do you see? Are you confused? Simplify it. Are you not feeling well/getting bad results? Backtest/forwardtest until you recieve content data! ^ Keep your process simple! #Shitshow

If you like Backtest, If you like don't Backtest, When it's time for you to explain how your model actually works, where it works, what R:R it uses, and backed up with proven data... that's when you realize you're cooked. Backtest to forwardtest is the game of trading.
