Rather odd incidental finding in a GEJ biopsy
Favor artifact (Insufflation artifact? Would that be weird in the esophagus?)
Glycogenic acanthosis?
Any other ideas?

#GUpath - renal papillary ADENOMA vs. papillary renal cell CARCINOMA ๐ง
Largely comes down to a size cutoff (15 mm)
This case lacked a capsule but was ~18 mm, just over the cutoff, utlimately Dx as PRCC
Another tidbit: we no longer subtype PRCC! โ

Fallopian tubes with nodular mesothelial/histiocytic hyperplasia - a benign, incidental finding
Good to know about all these incidentalomas so you don't mistake them for something else (also to not waste resources on unnecessary IHC)

I tend to think of histiocytes as dynamic, potentially on the move. But seeing tattoo pigment makes me realize that some histocytes are sedentary... they'll just sit here with the tattoo pigment forever!

I think it's a tonsillar lymphangiomatous polyp

Squamous epithelium-lined polyp with epitheliotropism of lymphocytes, fibrotic stroma with some fat, vessels/lymphatics...
