The Hangprinter simulator is taking shape. Here we reproduce in 2d:
- Infills with wiggle/resonance patterns
- Ringing after sharp corners
- Also artifacts along smooth curves (where one line flips slack/loose)
- Lost steps due to too sharp turn of corner (last secs of video)

It's a printer head for @tobbelobb HangPrinter 😎
The idea was to have a common axis for all lines which would make the inverse kinematics trivial. I think I designed this 7 years ago during a brainstorming session.

Here's how I mount the @3dwasp extruder XL 3.0 to my Hangprinter effector (early prototype and current). Notice how the extruder is free to rotate around its length axis. This reduces the force transmission between tube and extruder, and improves print-speed and -quality a lot.

That is quite a whopper. It better have a solid frame, gantry and Z axis motion system or the layer alignment will be awful.
I built a 1.6M tall delta printer and that was fun to use, but not as useful as you might think. If you want big printing, the #Hangprinter is great fun.

I was incredibly lucky that @3dwasp had just released a commercial crammer-feeder for 3d printing, and that a used one was available for sale. The basic design is solid and works well with Hangprinter.

Hangprinter v4's blocks are rotatable to accommodate a wide range of setups with different angles between anchors and other redirection points. Line shear forces were a frequent cause of line wear before this improvement landed in the repo, May 2022.

Finally got the Wasp CFS extruder working on Hangprinter 😃 Clay is fed through the tube from a stationary unit. Goodbye material limit. Hello bigger prints. 😎
