What were you doing at 5:02pm yesterday?
Replying emails?
Teaching a class?
Stuck in traffic?
At 5:02pm yesterday, this ladyโs labour started.
Yes. Real contractions. ๐ฃ
Not Braxton Hicks. Not โmaybeโ. Labour.
But this lady had a scheduled online group class that evening.
Instead of panic, she chose professionalism.
She reached out immediately to the Learning Coordinator at Hiprep, who swiftly assigned another tutor to take over the class.
At 5:50pm, this lady still showed up.
She started the group class herself.
Introduced the assigned tutor.
Excused herself calmly.
Composure in contractions.
Now hereโs the part that still feels unrealโฆ
She had another class by 7pm.
And yes โ she joined.
While having strong contractions.
She assigned her student IXL activities, walked her through them at intervals, and continued teaching while on transit to the hospital.
Teaching.
In labour.
On the way to delivery.
At 7:53pm, this lady arrived at the hospital.
At 7:58pm, she ended the class.
At 8:26pm, to the glory of God, and with the help of the most amazing doctors and nurses, this lady delivered her baby safely.
From lesson plan to labour ward.
From screen sharing to skin-to-skin.
From โCan you hear me?โ to a babyโs first cry. ๐
God was intentional about every minute โ from 5:02pm to 8:26pm.
Strength that wasnโt human.
Peace that made no sense.
Timing that only heaven could orchestrate.
This lady is overwhelmed with gratitude. Grateful for divine strength. Grateful for supportive colleagues. Grateful for a safe delivery. Grateful for life.
And this lady?
This lady is none other thanโฆ
Yours truly... Me! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
I'm the one the Lord has shown mercy
And to every woman trusting God for this kind of miracle โ may the Lord strengthen your body, calm your fears, and perfect all that concerns you. May your testimony come speedily, safely, and joyfully. May your womb carry life, and may your arms hold your miracle. In Jesusโ name, Amen. ๐
