Microsoft tarafında şu an 10 milyondan fazla cihazın hotpatch altyapısına kayıtlı olması da teknolojinin artık olgunlaştığını gösteriyor.

en.gamegpu.com/news/zhelezo/… Starting May 2026, Microsoft company adds new advanced Hotpatching technology. It allows administrators to install corporate security patches without restarting computers, rapidly updating code directly in the memory of running system processes. This mode does not stop reboots entirely. Four times annually, large baseline updates arrive, requiring a full equipment restart. For the other eight months, critical security fixes apply automatically in the background. This feature operates strictly for the corporate segment. It demands mandatory use of Windows 11 version 24H2, business licenses, Autopatch management platform, and enabled hardware protection of VBS architecture. #Microsoft #Windows #Hotpatching #Updates #Security #Technology #Software

Replying to @bdam555
Great timing for MSFT to enable Hotpatching by default, then.

Managing Windows Server in 2026 is harder than it has ever been. Hybrid setups, AI workloads, and security threats keep piling up Most teams I talk to are stuck in the same loop: ❌ Patching servers that need a full restart (and downtime) ❌ Managing on-prem, cloud, and edge with 5 different tools ❌ Guessing how to prepare infrastructure for AI workloads ❌ Worrying about post-quantum threats with no clear plan ❌ Migrating to the cloud manually, server by server The result? Burned-out admins and fragile infrastructure. That will change when you see what Microsoft is doing at the 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. It's a free 3-day virtual event (May 11-13) where the actual Microsoft engineering teams walk through what's new, what's coming, and how to use it. Here are the sessions I'm most excited about: 📌 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 - 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 → Windows Server 2025 in Practice - Hotpatching without restarts → The Future of Hyper-V - performance roadmap and faster recovery → Security Baselines and Benchmarks - real demos, not slideware → Evolving Server Management with Azure Arc and System Center 📌 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 - 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 → Azure Arc for Servers - one control panel for everything → Windows Admin Center Virtualization Mode (this looks huge) → AI-powered server migration to Azure → AI Workloads on Windows Server - hardware planning that actually scales 📌 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯 - 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 → Future-Proofing PKI for post-quantum security → Modernize AD for hybrid identity → Failover Clustering at scale (cloud that never goes down) But here's the part most people miss The Summit is not a one-way broadcast. There is a dedicated Feedback session on Day 3 where you can tell Microsoft directly what is working and what is not. This is your chance to shape the next version of Windows Server. The product team listens. The roadmap actually changes based on this input. For anyone running on-prem, hybrid, or planning AI workloads, this is the highest-signal event of the year. ✅ It's free ✅ It's virtual ✅ Sessions are recorded ✅ You hear directly from the engineering teams Register for the free event here: 👉 fandf.co/4tRIUWp —— ♻️ Repost to help others modernize their Windows Server setup 👉 Follow me ( @AntonMartyniuk ) to improve your .NET and Architecture Skills Many thanks to @msdev for sponsoring this post!

Everyone loves to talk about "cloud-native". Almost nobody talks about the Windows Server fleet quietly holding production together underneath it. More than ten years ago, I deployed my first .NET app by RDP-ing into a Windows Server, copying a publish folder, and recycling an IIS app pool by hand. I thought I'd leave that world behind once I got "serious". I didn't. Almost nobody does. The systems I work on today, as a senior engineer and architect, are hybrid by default. Active Directory still signs users in. Hyper-V still runs the VMs. File services, PKI, line-of-business apps, and increasingly on-prem AI workloads still sit on Windows Server. The interesting engineering question in 2026 isn't "cloud or on-prem?" It's "how do I operate consistently across both?" That's the exact frame of Windows Server Summit 2026. The agenda is super practical: → Windows Server 2025 in practice - hotpatching, clustering, native NVMe, networking → Azure Arc for Servers - one control plane across on-prem, edge, and cloud → The future of Hyper-V - performance, scale, resiliency, replica direction → PKI AD modernization - hybrid identity and post-quantum readiness → AI workloads on Windows Server - AI-ready infrastructure, done honestly If you own, design, or modernize server estates, this is worth the calendar block. Save your spot → fandf.co/3O7m5ir Two things I appreciate about how it's run: sessions go on demand shortly after airing, and live Q&A stays open the whole week. So even if your calendar is brutal, you still get most of the value. A huge thank you to @msdev for collaborating with me on this post.
