MAN STRUCK & KILLED ON BELTWAY: Innerloop of I-495 at Saint Barnabas Road in Oxon Hill— an adult male has been pronounced dead on the scene after having been struck by a motorist. The fatal crash involves a Maryland State Highway Administration (CHART) worker; Maryland State Police’s crash team is handling crash reconstruction. More information is expected to be released by officials. #mdtraffic

JUST IN: two suspects have been detained after a felony traffic stop on the Beltway at the Dulles Access Road in Tysons Corner, Virginia. They were traveling in a white Mercedes and are believed to be involved in the shooting a few minutes ago in Bailey’s Crossroads. Virginia State Police and Fairfax County Police (and their helicopter) tailed the suspects and swiftly placed the two occupants in handcuffs. The main lanes of the Innerloop of I-495 are temporarily blocked. #vatraffic
