IP28 destroys pregon's way of life. Outlaws fishing, hunting, trapping, pest control companies can't use mouse traps, outlaws mercy killings for animals that can't be healed from sickness or injury (farmers are going to have a grand old time with that!). It also indirectly affects the food and clothing industries as well. Animals will begin to overpopulate as well. Vote IP28 down in november!

It’s not just “what you can’t do to dogs and cats gets pushed to other animals” it goes beyond that. You’re taking away our ability to provide food for our families and trying to force veganism on us. This goes beyond just that and there is so much more that falls into this but stop lying to Oregonians!

This is **Initiative Petition 28 (IP28)**, the **PEACE Act** — a citizen-initiated ballot measure for the November 2026 Oregon election.
**Chief petitioner**: David Michelson, a Portland animal rights activist (he has filed similar versions before).
It would remove exemptions in animal cruelty laws for hunting, fishing, trapping, livestock farming/slaughter, research, and wildlife management.
~126,000 signatures submitted (needs verification to qualify). Voters would decide if it passes.
