🚨 UPDATE: MAN CHARGED IN THE CASE OF MISSING FRUITLAND BOY, MICHAEL “MONKEY” VAUGHAN 🚨
Fruitland, Idaho: After more than three years of heartbreak and searching, there has finally been a major development in the case of missing 5-year-old Michael “Monkey” Vaughan.
Stacey Wondra has now been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, and destruction of evidence in connection to Michael’s disappearance. He is expected to be extradited to Idaho to face these charges.
Michael vanished from his neighborhood in Fruitland on July 27, 2021, sparking one of the largest and most emotional missing child searches in Idaho’s history. Investigators later conducted an extensive excavation behind the Wondra residence in 2022 after receiving a credible tip, though no remains were found at that time.
Despite this new step toward justice, Michael has still not been located. His family and the community continue to hold onto hope and are pleading for anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
Michael was just five years old when he disappeared. He is described as having blond hair, blue eyes, standing 3’7” tall, and weighing about 50 pounds.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Fruitland Police Department or your local authorities.
We have followed and shared Michael’s story since the very beginning, and our hearts are with his family, especially his mother, Brandi Neal, who has shown unimaginable strength, love, and courage through every single day of this nightmare. 💛
Please keep Michael’s loved ones in your thoughts and continue to share his photo and story until he’s brought home where he belongs.
