Breaking the cycle of school dropouts doesn’t always begin inside a classroom, it often begins at the doorstep.
In a remote community where girls’ education typically ends after primary school, Mukesh Senwa, a Senior Youth Mentor and true Magic Maker at Magic Bus India Foundation, became a force for change. Through patient conversations with families and by introducing key government schemes like NMMS, Namo Lakshmi Yojana, and Cycle Sahay Yojana, Mukesh helped shift long-held perceptions. His persistent efforts led to 11 adolescent girls not only returning to school but doing so with renewed purpose and the confidence to pursue their high school dreams.
This transformation is part of our larger
#PresentTeacher campaign—a nationwide initiative committed to bringing young minds back to school and back to structure. At its core, the campaign celebrates the power of presence: consistent, compassionate, and community-rooted. It is through such presence that we reconnect young people with learning, growth, and possibility.
Because when the right support shows up, progress doesn’t just follow, it flourishes.
