The average US tap beers are garbage - the Millers, the Michelobs, the Budweisers. Gross! I now live in Minnesota, where the selection of microbreweries is vast. If you’re ever in MN, check out @bentpaddlebeer, @Backchannelbrew, and @BirchsOnTheLake. They’re my top spots so far.

Maybe stop buying what looks to be Miller Light! Plenty of amazing beer here in the US - genuinely better than what we have in the UK. Plenty of fabulous microbreweries - go explore, don’t just go to the local “pub”. Enjoy!

You’re kidding, right? Our shops routinely carry the Belgian and Dutch triple-brewed stuff, and you can’t move for “microbreweries producing a 9% beer” Oh, and IPAs are a British invention (the clue is in the name) 1/

Nobody really thinks about Microbreweries when “American Beer” comes up.

We might have to call upon the microbreweries of Vermont to send us their entire inventory

The super hoppy style that came to be associated with microbreweries everywhere is American in origin alright and I generally consider it a flaw as its often used to mask other deficiencies.

All countries have microbreweries but very few countries have decent microbreweries, let alone market leading ones. The US has these. Why would you judge anything by its mainstream mass market representation? Sounds clever, but its a pretty dumb thing to do.

Absolutely! Wouldn’t doubt that for a second!! I live in Colorado, we have over 400 “local” breweries! Breckenridge Brewing and Left Hand are some of the best microbreweries here.

America? Or Texas? I’ve heard about Texan microbreweries producing some proper beers. Has that spread?

Of course there may be good microbreweries but who buys those. I can go to any supermarket and get an excellent beer here.

Craft beer is also not American. At least not real craft microbreweries. Americans do love to call generic Costco shit “craft” just because it’s not coors tho

If you were so close to Wisconsin, you should have taken a day trip to Wisconsin to see all the German microbreweries. it is like Octoberfest every day. New Glarus is 2 hours away. It is like a parallel world's Germany.

Make the best of it. Lots of people prefer watching on their couch with friends and family here if they can’t be at the actual game. If you want soccer/football fans, go to microbreweries or Irish pubs.

Bengaluru start ups pls emulate this. The pubs and microbreweries should fund the start up!
