Jacob “Jake” Cabinaw last made contact with family on 3/31/2010 in Traverse City, MI, at Hickory Hills playing frisbee golf. He was driving a silver 2002 Chevy Malibu with MI registration BKQ4107, there is minor damage on passenger side front panel. Jake was wearing his work uniform, gray jacket with “Dave’s Garage,” dark blue pants, and brown work boots. He may have been in Mattawan, MI on 4/1/2010; had contact with law enforcement in West Fork, AR on 4/2/2010; his credit card was used in Fort Worth and Sweetwater, TX on 4/2/2010. His car may have been associated with a scrap yard in Mexico. Jake was a member of the National Guard. Foul play is suspected in Jake’s disappearance. 2.20.26 – UPDATED NAVAJO NATION MISSING PERSONS POSTER
There are approximately 73 individuals in the Navajo Nation that are currently missing, with some missing since the 1970s, including 20 females and 53 males.
Anyone with possible information on any of the missing person’s cases is encouraged to call the Navajo Police Department Tip Line at (928) 686-8563 or email tips to tips.npd@navajo-nsn.gov.
