yeah this is absolutely true. once the AMA wanted a 2minute laptime roughly for TV spots and implemented track width rules they ruined the uniqueness of each venue a little bit. It all ends up with a neutered track the ama guys ride every week. The MXGP guys race on rougher tougher and manly tracks. therefore it makes them better riders.

What we watched yesterday was one of the most impressive US debuts of all time. Lucas and Sacha came out in a stacked field and put in finishes that show we are not as talented as what US Moto fans think. It showed exactly why we get our asses handed to us at MXDN yearly. MXGP guys are fucking faster hands down. I cant wait to see Lucas against jett at southwick and Sacha is going to mop the floor with 250s in the sand

There doesn’t seem any time for amateurs to grow when they turn pro in AMA.
They are thrown into a series which is such a major step up from what they’ve been doing, race lengths, amount of races, intensity etc
EMX are way more customed to it because they race with MXGP series

Good chuck of talent? I really don’t think you understand just how much talent is constantly coming through EMX that ends up in MX2 & MXGP.
