A question for those making music since the early days on iOS, who also have a long history of making
#computermusic since its early days:
How similar do you think the evolution of iOS music making to date has been to the first decade or so of music making on desktop after
#SeerSystems released the world's first commercial
#softsynth in 1997?
If you know some experts feel free to tag them!

I have no idea what the first iOS music production app was. Anyone?
But from a comment here
jimatwood.wordpress.com/2012… I gleaned that there were quite a few decent apps available already by 2012:
'NanoStudio, GarageBand, Jasuto Pro, Moog Filtatron.
In the synths category: NLog Pro, DXi, Moog Animoog, Korg iMS-20, Korg iElectribe, Sunrizer, Addictive Synth
Touch intruments:Bebot, Gliss, Thumbjam, Korg iKaossilator.
For MIDI sequencing and control: Phaedra, TouchOSC, genome MIDI sequencer
Generative: NodeBeat HD'
I also learned that
@moogmusicinc
were touting
#Animoog as the first professional synth in 2011 (see pic), a somewhat controversial notion at the time, hehe. Oh, and it only cost $0.99 😂 🔥
