After 4️⃣ years & rejection from 5️⃣ journals, including one that did 2️⃣ rounds of revisions but still rejected it, I'm SO glad that I finally found a home for this paper🥹🥳

Today in #NormalizingRejection. A paper of mine was rejected yesterday. One comment was "Low R2, case book example of nonsense in, nonsense out" (cough low R2). The reviewer concludes with "The paper adds nothing to existing knowledge". Why such a harsh tone? #EconTwitter.

So, I didn’t get the email I wanted today. Not gonna lie - I’m disappointed and it’s hard to untangle this rejection from my view of my own self worth....

The Twitter for neuroscientists workshop I organized just ended & it was great. Messages flooding with positive feedback, feeling on top of the world!
A moment later - I got an email that my paper was rejected for the 5th time.

Just wanted to throw lots of love to all the students who didn't get accepted into any PhD programs this year. My first round of PhD applications I got rejected from all 11 schools I applied to. Some days it's so draining feeling genuinely happy and excited for your peers (1/3)
