The Ocean Ark, developed by Ocean Arks Tech (OATECH), is a 170-meter-long, 60-meter-wide trimaran designed to revolutionize offshore aquaculture. Featuring a self-cleaning superstructure and low-emission technology, it autonomously navigates coastal and open seas.
With the ability to endure 7-foot waves and travel at 4 knots, the Ark actively seeks optimal water conditions while avoiding storms and harmful algae. Its self-cleaning copper cages ensure durability, protect against predators, and promote fish health.
The vessel can house a 5,000-ton biomass of species like salmon, trout, and tuna. Operating independently for 20–25 days with 450 tons of feed, it can be moved to coastal areas for harvesting as needed.
Certified by RINA and compliant with IMO, MARPOL, and SOLAS regulations, the Ocean Ark is set to be constructed in Turkey and China, marking a major leap in sustainable aquaculture.
