Second time this week I'm seeing strawman arguments to show svelte > react by showing overcomplicated and even anti-patternish react code to make it appear to require more syntax. Do it right and it's much less syntax

The "$" is Svelte is the most potent abstraction I've ever seen in web development.
It's not fair because Svelte has a compiler, but
the amount of mental and physical boilerplate it removes is shocking

i just love how he kept his room simple, yet so neat and stylish. the wood accent truly complimented the whole theme and his bonsai makes the room a lot more alive. i love how he chose a plain white colored wall rather than the patternish one. i must say it's so classy of him

Using #TailwindCSS with #StyledComponents seems so rad, the styled goodness with less need to write all the CSS by hand. But, isn't it a bit anti-patternish? How folks are using TailwindCSS with #reactjs in the wild?

and since we are speaking of design, this Fast Company thing that when you scroll you get tricked into a new article and the URL changes as well (and doesn't change back when you unscroll) feels kinda dark patternish, if you ask me

Auto ordering imports is not a safe operation for a formatter to automate. Of any of your imports have side effects (which is anti patternish but possible), changing the order of imports changes the semantics of your application.

@schneidenbach overall I don't think it's anti-patternish, it's just different and new. It can feel wrong because you haven't gotten used to it yet. I like it since we've used it for a while now.
