What if sustainability becomes a lived principle, not just a concept?
Recently, with fellow UM6P Sustainable Development Makers, Irahoza Evelyne NIYIGENA, Tresor MABANO, and Emmanuel Atilola, we hosted our first workshop at
@UM6P_officiel, Benguerir Campus.
The goal was simple.
Yet powerful.
To boost a sustainability mindset among peers.
Not through lectures.
But through interaction.
Games.
Puzzles.
Peer-to-peer learning.
We explored the 17 SDGs, shared ongoing initiatives, and surfaced opportunities within the UM6P ecosystem.
Globally framed.
Locally grounded.
The experience concluded outdoors... with a guided Biodiversity Tour across campus.
Identifying species.
Reconnecting with nature.
Reflecting on our responsibility to protect the ecosystems we coexist with.
And that’s when it clicked.
Sustainability becomes real when it is experienced, not just explained.
When learning turns into action.
When awareness grows into responsibility.
This is how mindsets shift.
This is how communities move.
This is how impact begins.
Together, we are building knowledge, commitment, and momentum... for a more sustainable future.
