I must admit, I'm surprised they approved palliative care on my first try since I am only 48. It’s been an option in the past, but I never took that step. Right now, all I truly need is supplemental oxygen to help me breathe and get around, along with pain medications, and a chaplain to assist me in navigating my end-of-life decisions. Given my risk of sudden death, I feel it's essential to plan ahead, even though I’m determined to keep fighting. 🇺🇸🫶🚀💜👩‍🔬😒🤨😏🚀🚀 Unfortunately, the relentless chest and bone pain have become too much to bear on my own. It’s frustrating that this area won't prescribe the round-the-clock morphine and dilaudid that enabled me to stand and work as a medical scientist for seven years. This situation has cut my career short, and I'm now seeking contract work from home until we can head back east to my father's land, which holds such sentimental value for me as it's a historic site. My dream is to secure a grant and establish a small museum there, bringing something meaningful to life amidst these challenges. Also, once I get pain under control back to a 7 or maybe a 6, I am finishing my Master's degree in Biblical Studies and Theology. I saw God the night of my trauma accident in 2002 when he had them come to rescue me. He brought enough men to lift the car off of me. I saw him with my eyes shut in the ambulance. He was a warm silver.
