Within that church are two bishop chairs made from the timbers of the fighting temeraire that was brought to Rotherithe to be broken up.
The walk from London bridge to the mayflower, a short train ride under the Thames to Wapping & the walk back to London bridge is good fun.

With Blackwall tunnel closed southbound all weekend expect rotherithe/deptford A2 bound to be heavily congested and like you say the new cycle lane is not making it any better!🥴

Im born in Salford, my mum is from Rotherithe where my Nan & all her lot are from, I loved going down to see them all. I always made a point of diving in a black cab if I was going anywhere. You always knew that if you ask the driver a question about London he knew the answer

Over to Rotherithe and beautiful Sands Films for ‘Performing Utopia’ with @kingsartshums students amongst a wonderful ensemble. Met at the door as though I was back in 1983 by the indefatigable Christine Edzard who welcomed us into her labyrinth of midsummer night dreams. Lovely.
