@wavenumber_llc has fully open-sourced our core altium toolkit. This is the only public python library that can fully read and *write* Altium files with a clean OOP model. i have no idea... if you can point fusion at your own db file for libraries then yeah. this works off 3 files: - schlib for symbols - pcblib for footprints - dblib for hooks to a local database with part data the database connects the symbol to the footprint and then associates what ever else data i want to map onto it as internal params in altium @grok would fusion pcb function in this manner or similar? what about kicad?

say hi to altium_cruncher.exe (and .py) the .schlib file nut has been cracked open. fully bi-directional reads/writes. symbols can be autogenerated from python programmically using xls, xlsx, json or even in a python script. there is even a comic sans mode (god help us all)

Thanks. That is brilliant. I have done the internal block diagram thing a few times but it involved my replicating the block diagram in Altium SchLib editor using tracks/arcs. It looked really nice and was very helpful in documenting the design, but it took too darn long.
