How I almost got arrested doing a Physical Pentest.
That was the title of my first talk at SecTalks Brisbane (@sectalks_BNE) 😅
I shared the story of an engagement I did a while ago that was thrilling and a little bit stressful. It required a lot of communication and patience (spoiler: it all worked out in the end!).
I had a great time giving the talk and really enjoyed sharing the experience. Huge thanks to everyone who came along and to all the other speakers who gave great talks today 🙌
Special thanks to the organisers Colby Prior and Jake Dunn (hope I'm not missing someone else) and to BDO for hosting the event.
And thanks Greg Tereszczyn for the photos 📸

Last week, we had @HulkOperator present at SecTalks Sydney. We had the pleasure of having Bharat share his insights to our Sydney community and bring everyone together this month.
A huge thanks to all the sponsors and a special thanks to Jordan for the continued support.
TONIGHT!
SecTalks Canberra is hosting SecTalksCBR :: I installed a keylogger on my computer, and you should too. Make sure to attend it today. linkedin.com/events/sectalks…
Shared with SecTalks, main hacker slack here.. Let me know if any other way I can help (provided it doesn't break any privacy, should they not want to be contacted)
ALT From kronicd:
Hey pal,
We included him on the bio ironically.
I've also looked for him and ultimately every lead was just more satire. I have some merch and stuff I'd love to send him, so please if you do track him down reach out.
If you hear rumours that he worked at BishopFox, those aren't true. We investigated those thoroughly and the origin is a joke included in their internal onboarding material.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
ALT TRACER T AND ZERO COOL There are many many novelty artifacts on the internet, the star wars telnet server, the star wars traceroute… I’m sure there are others. We developed our own, an IPv6, rDNS, traceroute based mechanism to disseminate movie scripts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xbUpbTT6yg). We will provide details of how the system works, an example of the system in action and we will speculate wildly about potential future uses for this cutting edge information exchange mechanism. SEC Holding Roundtables on DeFi & Tokenization
The SEC is actually talking to people—hosting roundtables about DeFi, custody, tokenization, and more. Progress, not perfection.

At SecTalks Singapore (@sectalks), Audrey Adeline took the stage with "Data Splicing Attacks: Breaking DLP from the Inside Out."
She walked the audience through the architectural limitations of enterprise DLP—both endpoint and SASE/SSE-based—and demonstrated how these solutions consistently miss browser-layer threats.
The session wrapped with live demos of real-world bypasses and the release of Angry Magpie, our open-source toolkit for red teams.
