The season at International #iRacing Series continued with the eleventh race. After a two-week break, all was set for the #nascar race at Michigan, which was called Gentleman Fire Keeper 400. The total length was set to 200 laps full of action. Our team came there with all cars. 🟡 International iRacing Series 📓 NASCAR Cup Series 🔴 Race 11 📆 12.06.2026 📌 Michigan International Speedway 🏁 204 laps 🇨🇿 Petr Smetana • He had a good beginning after finishing in fourth in the qualifying. During the opening laps, Petr stayed there, just before the first caution. The next cautions gave him an opportunity and he took it. Without a pit stops, he finished in fifth and got a good points. After missing his pit stall, he had to restart from the back. Then slowly made his way back forward. After a late caution in the stage, Petr crossed the line in fourth and then came down on the pit road. When we went back green, he was able to stay in the front group, but then was almost spun by another car. Luckily, he saved it and continued on. Petr was doing a good job as he even took the lead for some laps. But a late caution changed everything. He stayed on the track. In this overtime, he did a good job and finished in third. 🇨🇿 Jakub Smetana • Jakub had to miss the qualifying, so he began the race from the midfield. A lap by lap, he was moving forward until the first crash, which happened right in front of him, but he avoided it. After the restart, he went in to the top-ten. It took just a twenty laps and he was in the lead. With a following cautions, he took a gamble and decided to stay on the track. And it was a good move, because we had a more cautions and that meant a win in the stage. In the second stage, he had some moments, when he was spun by another car, but bounced back and finished the stage in third. Also the final stage began well for him until the point, when he was hit by spinning car. He had no chance to avoid that and his car was badly damaged. Jakub didn't give up and in the overtime got by some car and brought home his damaged car in the thirteenth place. 🇨🇿 David Pejchal • David started the race from the second place. He tried to fight for the lead, but settled down in third. Then a caution came out. Same as his teammates, David choose the strategy of staying out on the track for the rest of the stage. That gave him a third place finish in that stage. In the next one, he was showing a decent pace and was still inside the top-ten. Next cautions gave him an opportunity to pit for a fuel. But that plan was thrown out of the window after the next cautions. This time, he didn't find the way in to the top-ten as he finished the stage well outside. After some in-car adjustments, he was slowly moving back forward. After we were approaching the closing part, David was back inside the top-ten. All came down to an overtime finish.
