Got my next article queued up for writing for @phparch - this one will be fun to write (even though I'm late in starting, don't tell @johncongdon )
I'm thinking I should show @slimphp some love ❤️ so I'm going to start a little series about building APIs using Slim 🎉
In 2025 give #slimphp a look, it’s a brilliant lightweight #php framework. @garyclarketech shows it off really nicely in his php api course.
As a result of Musk being an idiot, the links are in the next tweet, instead of here.
Velho, tá muito bom isso! Código lindo e arrumado. Costumava fazer DI na mão com PHP, facilitava muito o trampo. Atualmente uso o slimphp pra isso. Continua q tá show!
Yes. Laravel is great, for solo developers it’s brilliant, ( yes it scales). There is also Symfony, Slimphp, CakePHP, CodeIgniter etc. Vanilla PHP just keeps getting better too.
Slim 4.14.0 is now out!
It tidies the plain text error renderer and also adds template generics to the classes where we expose the PSR-11 container. #php#slimphpslimframework.com/2024/06/13…
@slimphp was the original framework I used when I got into OOP. It's always held a special place in my heart.
I'd 100% recommend it for simpler use cases, especially where logic is mostly contained on device
What are the big PHP frameworks again? So far I have Laravel, Symfony, and although I'm aware it's just a HTTP router with aspirations, SlimPHP. I'm not sure whether Cake or CodeIgniter are even still going.
