The Zambian government is ramping up efforts to enhance training for nurses and midwives as part of its strategy to build a stronger, more efficient health system. Health Minister Elijah Muchima says the Decentralised Nurse Training Model, supported by SolidarMed, is already improving practical skills in ten nursing colleges, including Livingstone College of Nursing. He made the remarks during the 11th Combined Graduation Ceremony for 1,177 nurses from ten #Nursing and Midwifery Colleges in Southern Province.

Yesterday, we had a fruitful meeting with SolidarMed #solidarmed , primarily focusing on their potential participation in the 12th Tanzania Health Summit #THS2025 We discussed how their presence could enrich the summit #THS2025, including opportunities for showcasing their work, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to key health discussions. While we also briefly touched on some of their ongoing and planned projects—such as AHA!
