LinkedIn just dropped its list of top emerging Indian startups in 2024.
India is nurturing innovation like never before. The Government of India’s Startup India initiative, launched in 2016, has been a game-changer. The country now ranks as the third-largest startup ecosystem globally, with a 15% growth rate in 2018. The number of incubators and accelerators has also jumped by 11%.
From January to August 2024, Indian startups raised a whopping USD 7.5 billion through venture capital funding. S&P Global Market Intelligence predicts India’s nominal GDP will nearly double to over $7 trillion by fiscal 2030-31, making it the world’s third-largest economy by 2030.
Two Indian cities, Bengaluru and Mumbai, have made it to the top 50 startup cities globally. This shows the immense potential and growth of the Indian startup ecosystem.
