Thursday 10th was the official opening of the June Best Sanctuary Garden at The Gordon Messenger Centre Lympstone, Devon @RoyalNavy Founder Alan @batonman09 attended a truly exceptional facility enabling so much for our veteran community... Alan said "this truly incredible facility was made possible only, I believe, by @SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity providing the funds (approximately £55k) with Simon Pool and the awesome @SplashProjects team enabling veterans and their supporters, with tools and guidance, to create something of immense benefit to the local military community. The main dignitaries were Sir Gordon Messenger, @AldoKane and Minister for Veteran affairs @AlistairCarns MP, Alistair said... “It’s a fantastic example of how we understand that when someone serves, they don’t just serve themselves — the whole family serves collectively. If you don’t invest in that family and community, things break down, and that ultimately affects operational output at the sharp end.”...His words reflecting the Baton's cause Alan was delighted to catch up with Aldo on the day, a man he has tremendous respect for. The day was extremely hot and LJ and her GMC team with ladies from the RMA put on a marvellous event on a very hot day supplying food and drinks for all of us who attended

Inaugurado nuestro patio después de la ejecución del proyecto de @SplashProjects con financiación del @IEuniversity y la participación de 500 alumnos de sus másters. Gracias @AytoParla , gracias DAT Sur @ComunidadMadrid por acompañarnos en este momento tan importante.

Último día de instalación de nuestro patio. ¡Qué gran trabajo del staff de @SplashProjects para finalizar todos los detalles antes de la ceremonia inaugural! Hoy hemos contado con un equipo de 122 alumnos del @IEuniversity . Estamos muy emocionados.

Gracias al increíble trabajo de nuestros amigos de ⁦@SplashProjects⁩ y del maravilloso equipo de voluntarios de ⁦@IEuniversity⁩ nuestra #CopérnicoClassband y todo el alumnado del ⁦@IESCopernico⁩ dispone de nuevos espacios de aprendizaje al aire libre !Es genial!

Day 4. Primera fase del proyecto de nuestro patio norte acabado bajo el magnífico liderazgo de Peter Simmons de @SplashProjects, dirigiendo a casi 400 alumnos del @IEuniversity. El resultado es la transformación absoluta de nuestro patio en un espacio de aprendizaje.

WELFARE and the BATON TANDEM... Honiton based military charity has offered heartwarming support in recent months. Through the @SSAFA's dedicated caseworkers we have enabled Emergency Family Housing, desperately needed Respite Care, a Medical Mattress, a Wet Room and support for SSAFA Devon towards the Gordon Messenger Veterans Garden project, superbly orchestrated by the incredible @SplashProjects and volunteers, some veterans, @batonman09 even managed to put a day and half day in between his schedule. The BATON TANDEM.. is being put to good use by the irrepressible veteran, Roch Rochester, an amazing man inspiring many. Though once severely injured himself, Roch has encouraged and enabled people to achieve, through him the Baton Tandem is being used to get youngsters with neurological/coordination issues to experience the rush of speed in the front seat along the Plym Trail....It's so satisfying to know that the Tandem is being put to great use in the name of humanity and comradeship
