CVHCS STAR Program Reaches 500 Patients:
CVHCS is proud to announce a major patient care milestone—the Servicemember Transitional Advanced Rehabilitation (STAR) Program has served its 500th patient! This achievement highlights our ongoing commitment to caring for active-duty Service Members and Veterans.
About the STAR Program:
Launched in 2012, STAR began as a residential rehabilitation program for those with amputations, providing daily therapy in a co-located, collaborative space. Over the years, STAR expanded to treat polytrauma and traumatic brain injury, always emphasizing holistic care and community reintegration. In 2019, STAR was honored to become one of only five VA Intensive Evaluation and Treatment Programs (IETP) for Special Operations members.
Our Impact:
-500 patients served since 2012
-280 Special Operations members treated
-Recognized leader in VA Polytrauma Care
Thank You to Our Team!
This milestone reflects the dedication, expertise, and compassion of our interdisciplinary team and leaders. STAR is committed to supporting Service Members and Veterans for years to come and we look forward to celebrating our next 500 patients!
