I deleted the earlier satire post because the wording was broader than I intended. My criticism has always been directed at fraud, proxy interviews, fake resumes, corruption, and unethical practices — not at Indians as a whole. Many Indians in the U.S., UK, Canada, and elsewhere are hardworking, law-abiding people. I will continue to focus on actions and behaviors rather than entire groups.

Higher Education Under Attack: The End of Duration of Status? A major proposed rule change would eliminate Duration of Status (D/S) for F and J visa holders and replace it with fixed I-94 end dates tied to program length or a four-year maximum. Students who need more time would have to file a formal Extension of Stay application with USCIS instead of relying on university-authorized extensions. See: federalregister.gov/document… This is not a small technical change. This would be a major blow to international students, universities, and U.S. employers. One of the most troubling parts of the proposal is the restriction on changing educational objectives, transferring schools, or pursuing another program at the same or lower academic level. American students change majors. American students transfer schools. American students realize a program is a poor fit and adjust. International students should not be locked into an academic path simply because they are foreign nationals. This also takes direct aim at students who use additional education to retool their careers. Day 1 CPT programs are often criticized, but for many students who were not selected in the H-1B lottery, they provide a legitimate path to continue studying while working and building skills. Many already have a master’s degree and pursue an MBA or another graduate program to move into management, business, data, or technology tracks. Foreclosing that option will not make the system better. It may push people into PhD programs they do not actually intend to complete, making the system more strained and less honest. This is a disaster for higher education, especially business schools and professional graduate programs that serve working professionals. The U.S. says it wants the best global talent. This isn’t just “body shops.” It’s an integrated replacement infrastructure: • staffing firms • immigration sponsors • shell LLCs • real estate acquisitions • nonprofit fronts • investment arms • offshore delivery hubs • political access groups Layered. Coordinated. Replicated city after city. America's job market shifted because the ecosystem has taken over. This is why so many Americans feel locked out in their own country. Because they aren’t competing against a single person or a single company. They’re competing against a coordinated, vertically integrated labor and business network that can move faster than oversight, faster than enforcement and faster than public awareness. And every time I map it, the same conclusion emerges. The map is never the full map. The ecosystem always goes deeper. Americans deserve to see it clearly.
