Какие прекрасные логи, а главное — какая стоящая причина всей этой суеты. Люблю Syncthing, но порой это вымораживает.

Here is what it breaks down: Local AI: Run Ollama, LM Studio, or LocalAI right on your machine instead of paying for ChatGPT. Cloud Storage: Replace Dropbox and Google Drive with Nextcloud or Syncthing so your files never leave your house. Network Privacy: Complete WireGuard and PiVPN setup guides for secure browsing. Private Git: Ditch GitHub and self-host your own repos using Gitea or GitLab.

I was paying for cloud storage, a password manager, a VPN, and ChatGPT. Then I found this GitHub repo and started replacing all of them. It's called Self-Hosting Guide. 19,000 developers have starred it. And it's the closest thing the internet has to a bible for replacing every paid SaaS you use with software running on your own hardware. Here's what it actually covers: → Self-hosted ChatGPT alternatives. Ollama, llama.cpp, LocalAI, GPT4All, LM Studio. Walked through with install steps. → Cloud storage to replace Dropbox and Google Drive. Nextcloud, Seafile, ownCloud, Syncthing, MinIO. → Full WireGuard setup guides for PiVPN, Unraid, pfSense, OpenWRT, and Home Assistant. → Self-hosted Git replacing GitHub. Gitea, GitLab, Gogs, OneDev. → Media servers, password managers, smart home automation, video surveillance, podcast hosting. → Docker, Kubernetes, Proxmox, Ansible. Every piece of infra you actually need to run this stuff. → Hardware breakdowns for Raspberry Pi, NAS builds, and home server upgrades. → Linode, DigitalOcean, and bare metal hosting walkthroughs for when you actually want to deploy. It's not just a curated list. It has install commands, config files, and step-by-step setup guides for every category. Most people pay hundreds a month for SaaS this repo teaches you to run for the cost of electricity. 19.1K stars. 941 forks. 100% Opensource.

Go check how open source can benefit you. Overall, by moving my workflow to OnlyOffice, OpenCloud, Joplin, and Syncthing, I have traded a recurring bill for a setup that I truly own. There is a small learning curve, though. xda-developers.com/replaced-…

Depends which OS you are using. Back things up. The pixel will get wiped. Install Termux from Github and install syncthing to sync all your files to your Macbook/PC. The switch is easy. For some apps, you may need to research alternatives.

I have a jailbroken kindle paper white with KO reader installed. It has FTP, Syncthing and Calibre support to remote send book to it

In my case, I've replaced basically everything "cloud" by P2P sharing via syncthing. people should give it a try.

Obsidian paid subscription is probably simpler to set up, but SyncThing is free (and can be used sync any kind of files, not just Obsidian). It can be a bit tricky to set up but hey that's what AIs are for, right?

Even better, set up SyncThing on all the devices you use so you can access the same vault from any of them. Get your agent to set it up for you if you don't know how.

Your MemryNote vault is a folder. You can back it up to Dropbox. Sync it with Syncthing. Copy it to a USB stick. Use Git. Cloud sync is the cherry on top, not the foundation. 📷

Bisher hatte ich Nextcloud, nutze dafür aber nur die Dateisynchronisation für mich alleine. Jetzt teste ich mal Syncthing, dann kann ich mir den extra Server/VM sparen.
