i remember never attending school, not studying and just going around participating(cipher hunts, crosswords, quizzes, etc.) in techfests access, exun, code warriors, xino etc easily the best experience and the biggest head start!

I was not in any of the DPS(rkp, vk, rohini, dwarka) or barakhamba who had their own clubs. But we used to go in most of the techfests, solving crosswords, hackathons, quizzes etc and undoubtedly the exposure and the things I learnt are unparalleled

A year ago, when I first visited this Pakistani Hindu basti outside Jodhpur, it was to cover mass demolition of refugee homes. Scores of families were left homeless and hundreds of children starving, even for water. Instead of just lamenting, we immediately sprang into action. Rebuilt their homes, allocated funds for new arrivals from Pak, provided livelihoods, and opened an education center to uplift children. Introduced English communication, Maths, Robotics, Vedic knowledge and Martial Arts training. Today, kids from our centre are going to compete in national school games. In the past, they have represented our centre at IIT techfests Heart filled with immense pride. Also because I could never see myself as just narrating tragic stories without action. Girls fear being kidnapped We provide them basic support when they arrive here but we also strive to give their kids the skills that would help them rise above generations of suffering Proud to say what we @sewanyaya are doing is not just rehabilitation. Arewa TechFests, tech events, and state government policies must actively attract our billionaires to tech. The lack of tech funding in Arewa hinders our progress. We cannot repeat the mistake of allowing the banking and finance sector to fall under the dominance of the Southwest

bonded with a colleague during office techfests, but turns out chivalry isn't his thing. Never pays for cabs, food we share & recently again asked for a ride to his PG (which was on the way to mine) and didn’t even offer to split the fare. Some people really test your patience.

We are providing the best learning opportunities to these children who are living in slums in Rajasthan after fleeing Pakistan We made some of these kids perform at IIT Delhi and Mumbai techfests These are all dalit and tribal children from Sindh. However we aren’t expecting any accolades or awards as social justice warriors We won’t even qualify as the story of these kids is that their community was oppressed not in India but in Pakistan and suffered for their Hindu religion This makes our work communal in the eyes of those distributing certificates in social progress. Well, we don’t care. At all. The joy we experience in helping them grow is unparalleled. Nothing compares I must add here these kids are extremely lucky they are learning under the guidance of @SanjeevSanskrit, an IIT-IIM alumnus

They were such consummate 4 years. Savoured what not; scholarships, love, heartbreaks,altercations,fights, results, teachers, friends and foes. 8:55 am wakeups, 9 am classes, techfests. Such great people, such great place at such great university. #smvdu #collegelife #engineering

Finally someone said the truth, those ambassador programs are of no use (IIT techfests included) if you don't want to get into event management side of things.

My university has a contract with Redbull for our techfests and hackathons so Redbull was pretty much my go to drink, coconut berry and artic berry r my favs
