When a Christian says abortion is murder, you have to remember that Jesus forgave murderers. Luke 23:34: "Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.'" (Jesus prayed this for the men who killed him. Every one of us needs Jesus’s forgiveness, as we all fall short, but this is not to minimize the magnitude of murder. Rather, it is to magnify the grandeur of Jesus’s grace. We call abortion murder because that is the truth, physically and spiritually. This is not said simply to shame others.
