‘Java is everywhere AI needs to be.’
That’s exactly what drives us at Deep Netts.

I learned about #JLama from a post by @Stephan007, that made me curious and I went on investigating what @tjake put together. There are a few ports of @karpathy’s inference code to Java, but I🦙is built on top of the new #vectorApi from @java and it’s already in #mavencentral
#unity3d 's UIToolkit is severely lacking when it comes to vectors; SVGs have no AA, and there's only CSS animation...
I've been making a lottie/bodymoving player, which outputs VectorAPI commands, to get antialiased vector animations!
Will be packaged up and opensourced soon!
VectorAPI is not currently supported by #GraalVM, however, Graal compiler supports autovectorization @TheMukel's llama2 implementation explores both separately for matmul methods github.com/mukel/llama2.java

In pretty hilarious/surprising news: Jlama (Java) is faster than llama.cpp for the same threads in ms per token. This is for the F32 llama 7b model. I'm going to start adding quantization now.
If you're attending Jax in Mainz and interested in learning more about Java Vector API, I hope you can join me for my talk tomorrow (11.45, Gutenbergsaal 3). See you there!" #java@jaxcon#VectorAPI#Jaxcon
The episode 18 of the #JEPCafe is out! #VectorAPI in the #JDK20, parallel computing on the SIMD machine of your CPU, patterns, performances, plenty of good stuff! Drink it while it's hot!
