are they ladybugs? they are harmless they like to nest in shutters and in the channels around windowframes, so seal those up well you can vaccuum them up, but they eat aphids, which are a nuisance in an of themselves

my dad's place is 1880s and there's heating, but it was made before central air was widespread so there's no way to actually put in any AC. we could get a window unit technically but it would require modifying the original 1880s windowframes and we dont wanna do that lol
