Hamza Hammoud rode his motorcycle all the way from Bir al-Abed in the southern suburbs of Beirut to the border area with occupied Palestine, what is part of historic Jabal Amel (south Lebanon). Hamza hid out in a valley overnight before entering his family's native southern Lebanese village of Markaba. He successfully bypassed the physical border 'defenses' at the Ramim Ridge and crossed into the geographical perimeter of the settlement of Margaliot (which was the village of Hunin before it was ethnically cleansed). Hamza then crossed into the northern settlement with simple, personal weapons to engage the Israeli forces. He died confronting Israeli soldiers.

The zionist settler colonial entity is a microcosm of the greater European project of white supremacy— of the violent tradition and vision through and upon which the Euro-American empire fashioned itself— circa 1492. It serves as an extension of that imperialist and violent tradition. It is the final frontier of the euro-american (Epstein) empire before Asia and Africa; as well as serving as a buffer and a mechanism within that broader apparatus which provides the empire with a foothold into Afro-Eurasian landmass. It holds that inherently supremacist psychology alive. The Palestinian resistance's crime on October 7th was making itself visible; shattering the manufactured colonial myths of invincibility and security. Challenging a reality in which the zionist colonizers assumed they had succeeded in securing the land and *cleansing* it of all indigeniety. Forced what remained into ghettos and prisons; silenced and invisibilized— unable to threaten the illusions of the colonial class— unable to be heard from or seen. Yet the Palestinians defied their condition, they refused to be rendered into erasure by reminding them of their existence. And that is what the collective imperialist and white supremacist psyche fears the most. It is what it seeks to stamp out and assure will never become a possibility; where its dominion over land and resources is usurped or challenged. As the United States (and Europe) retreats into irrelevance and collapses in on itself; unable to assert its dominion overseas unchallenged any longer, its broader imperial apparatus will push back deeper into its own borders. All the capabilities and violence once reserved for those exclusively far away, overseas, will now be used to fortify the last vestiges of what remains. Just as it was before being exported. The western corporate elite are hoarding and consolidating more and more of whatever they can ravage and get their hands on. They know catastrophe is looming. They are demonstrating through Gaza what they are willing to do. Showcasing the blueprint they will exercise against anyone or anything that threatens them in this last stand.

What struck me most about this video is the sense of being forgotten. Since the ceasefire, much of the world’s attention has moved elsewhere, creating the impression that Gaza’s suffering is over. Sara’s message is a reminder that daily life remains defined by displacement, destruction, insecurity, and deprivation for countless people across Gaza.
