Releasing a model this capable comes with risks. Without safeguards, Fable 5’s capabilities in areas like cybersecurity could be misused to cause serious damage. Queries on a narrow range of topics will instead receive a response from our next-most-capable model, Opus 4.8.

Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.

Embodied agents are getting better at reasoning… but they still make surprisingly brittle mistakes. A robot that can “bring me a banana” may completely fail at: “bring me a yellow curved fruit.” Why? Because current agents usually commit to the first action they come up with. We introduce VeGAS: Verifier-Guided Action Selection for embodied agents. 🤖 Instead of acting immediately, the agent: • samples multiple candidate actions • verifies them • executes the best one Accepted as a #CVPR 2026 Findings paper. 🧵

We've raised $65 billion in Series H funding at a $965 billion post-money valuation, led by @AltimeterCap, Dragoneer, @Greenoaks, and @sequoia. This investment will help us advance our research and expand our capacity to meet growing demand for Claude.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.8: it builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors. Available today at the same price.

We’re expanding our partnership with @SpaceX, and will be scaling up on GB200 capacity in Colossus 2 throughout June. Appreciate @elonmusk and the team helping us find good homes for the Claudes.
In the next few days we'll be ramping up Claude inference on Colossus. Grateful to be partnering with SpaceX here. We are going to need to move a lot of atoms in order to keep up with AI demand, and there's nobody better at quickly moving atoms (on or off planet Earth)

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

We’ve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity. This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that we’ve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back. You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.

Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software. It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans. anthropic.com/glasswing

RL optimizes weights. Evolution optimizes contexts. What if we combine RL and Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) into a new paradigm of LLM self-improvement? In "Evolutionary System Prompt Learning for Reinforcement Learning in LLMs", we show that RL and EA are deeply synergistic.

New paper 📢 Most powerful vision-language (VL) reasoning datasets remain proprietary 🔒, hindering efforts to study their principles and develop similarly effective datasets in the open 🔓. Thus, we introduce HoneyBee, a 2.5M-example dataset created through careful data curation. It trains VLM reasoners that outperform InternVL2.5/3-Instruct and Qwen2.5-VL-Instruct across model scales (e.g., an 8% MathVerse improvement over QwenVL at the 3B scale). 🧵👇 Work done during my internship at @AIatMeta w/ 🤝 @ramakanth1729, @Devendr06654102, @scottyih, @gargighosh, @adityagrover_, and @kaiwei_chang.

New blog 📢 Can we extract dense advantages without new annotations or models in GRPO? The answer is YES! 💡Answer correctness splits rollouts into positives and negatives. Just upweight positive tokens which differ significantly from the negative tokens! 🧵👇
