From 1992 to 1996, I was the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Exercise Sergeant Major. This May 1995 photo was taken in Jordan. One night in the tent, I had an unusual bed partner. I was sleeping on the ground in my sleeping bag. In the morning one of the guys noticed that a horned viper was snuggled up for warmth – just next to my head. I lay there until the snake was dealt with. The desert, like every environment I had operated in, demanded respect and constant awareness.

An update:
I am job hunting like a mad man these days, needing something I can do remotely via internet while I try to facilitate and navigate a move across the country that I currently can't afford thanks to repairs and funds being as they are.
Sobriety is new and exciting, but more of a major adjustment than I expected. I feel better, feel stronger, etc. But the mitigating meds and good replacement habits definitely create additional challenges that I am happy to take on.
Meanwhile, with the help I received a while back I was able to keep up on bills up til but now I'm having to make additional repairs to the camper (water pump replacement, roof sealing, wiring issues, tires, brakes, bearings, etc...), have additional medical bills, and stashed funds are running low again - of course.
I have total faith that I'll get through this somehow, and my level of gratitude - all things considered - is at an all time high.
If anyone feels like contributing to my current plight, awesome. If not, prayers are well accepted.
A new chapter not only awaits, but has already begun. Not having all the answers is always stressful AF, but I'm better off than I was in so many ways.
I love and appreciate you all. Trolls can suck it. 🤣
I haven't directly updated the GFM, but the campaign remains active. I also have cashapp $jaffostudios.
Thanks again, fam. I will not quit making hype videos. We can all use them these days.
