This is a wild AI moment. Anthropic says the U.S. government directed them to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all customers. Not just foreign users. All customers. And the part that stands out to me is this: AI model access is no longer just a product decision. It is becoming a policy decision, a compliance decision, and maybe even a national security decision. That changes how founders, teams, and enterprises need to think about building on top of these models. The model you use today might not just get deprecated. It might get pulled. This is why abstraction layers, fallback models, and not being locked into one provider are going to matter a lot more. AI is moving fast. But the infrastructure around AI is getting political just as fast.
